Social Hooks

Bad Liar: 1 point. You are just horrible at deceiving people. You are at +1 difficulty to any attempts to lie.

Chronically Shy: 1 Point. You've always been one to avoid the spotlight. You are at +1 difficulty when dealing socially with people you don't know, and at +2 when dealing with large crowds.

Crude: 1 Point. Blunt can be one thing, but you are downright vulgar. You are at +1 difficulty when dealing with any situation that requires tact or social grace.

Gambling Addict: 1 Point. You can't help it, you just plain love to gamble. When placed in a position where a bet is to be made, you must make a willpower roll to not give in to it.

Non-confrontational: 1 Point. You really dislike putting yourself out there. You must make a willpower check to speak out against the common agreement.

Speech Impediment: 1 Point. You have some form of lisp, stutter, or other speech impediment that makes it hard to talk. You are at +1 difficulty to all social rolls that involve speech.

Superstitious: 1 Point. You have a set of superstitions that you have to follow. These need to be outlined on your character sheet. You are at +1 difficulty to any roll immediately after violating a superstition.

Trusting: 1 Point. You just really like people, and have a hard time thinking poorly of them. You are at +1 difficulty in telling when someone is lying or attempting to deceive you in some way.

Compulsive Liar: 2 Points. You lie. A lot. Damn near constantly. This is mostly roleplayed, but if you want to tell the truth for a scene, you have to spend a willpower point.

Honest to a fault: 2 Points. You have a real hard time telling anything BUT the truth, and are at +2 difficultly to lie to people.

Infamy: 2 Points. You are well know in the SCP and GOI community…but for all the wrong reasons. Most people who have heard of you give you a bit of a wide berth and will treat you shabbily because of it.

Lustful: 2 Points. You like sex, a lot, and generally make rather poor choices in doing so. Other people are at -2 difficulty to seduce you.

Wavering Faith: 3 Points. You used to believe, but something has made you doubt the higher powers. All willpower roles are at +1 difficulty.

Pacifist: 5 points. You absolutely despise fighting. You must make a willpower roll difficulty 8 in order to take a violent action of any kind, or be overcome by your conscience.

Unlucky: 7 points. You just don't get a break. Any 10s rolled count as ones.

Physical Hooks

Allerigies: 1 Point. You are allergic to some common substance, please specify what. You are at +1 difficulty to all rolls during a scene in which you encounter this substance.

Arthritic: 1 Point. You suffer from chronic pain in your joints, specifically your hands. You are at +1 difficulty to any action that requires fine motor skills.

Low alcohol Tolerance: 1 Point. Someone opens a beer in the room and you get dizzy. You get drunk REALLY easy.

Bulky: 2 points. You are very large or unusually shaped. Your detailed maneuvering and comfort in normal-size environments is compromised, and you cannot fit through small spaces. (Applies mostly to non-human characters.)

Poor eyesight: 1 or 3 Points. Your vision is failing you. For one point, this is corrected with eyeglasses, for 3, there is no correction. You are at +1 difficulty for all vision related tests.

Poor Hearing: 1 or 3 Points. Your hearing just isn't that good. For one point this can be corrected with a hearing aid, for 3 points there is no correction. You are at +1 difficulty to all hearing related tests.

Slow: 3 Points. A quick walking pace is your best all-out sprint. +2 difficulty to stamina or other rolls when they require decisive movement.

Disfigured: 4 Points. Due to some horrible event in your life, you are damned ugly. Your Appearance is 0, and cannot rise above that.

Low pain Tolerance: 2 Points. When you stub your toe, it's the worst thing in the world. You are at +1 difficulty to all rolls in any scene in which you've been hurt.

Crippled Limb: 3 Points. One of your limbs just plain doesn't work. If it's an arm, you are at a +2 difficulty to anything that needs two arms. If it's a leg, you move slowly

Deformity: 3 Points. You have some sort of horrible deformity. You are at +1 difficulty to all Physical rolls.

Missing Eye: 3 Points. Whether you're a pirate, or ran with scissors, one of your eyes is no looker there. You are at a +2 difficulty to all thing needing depth perception, including ranged combat.

Deaf: 4 Points. You absolutely positively cannot hear a damned thing. You are at +3 difficulty to all perception and alertness rolls.

Mute: 4 Points. You are completely incapable of speech.

Blind: 6 Points. You cannot see at all. You automatically fail any roll where sight is required.

Mental Hooks

Short Temper: 1 Point. You have a hard time dealing with things when they don't go your way. After failing a challenge, you must make a willpower challenge to not go off.

ADD: 2 Points. You suffer from attention deficit disorder. You must make a willpower challenge of at least difficulty six in order to concentrate on tasks that take a while.

Overconfident: 2 Points. You are awesome, and you know it. The DM can add up to three to the difficulty of two rolls a session, as you draw the wrong conclusion about your situation.

Mental illness: 2 points. You have some form of mental Derangement. Work with the GM to determine exactly what effect this has on your character.

Weak-willed: 3 Points. You have never been much of one for rising to the challenge. You are at +2 difficulty to all willpower challenges, and cannot have a willpower greater then 6.

Depression: 4 Points. Life is horrible, and you know it. You do not regain willpower as normal, an instead only regain it by playing up to your Nature.

SCP Hooks

D-Class: 3 Points. You were tossed in as an experiment. You are at a +2 difficulty on social challenges with anyone who knows that D-class means criminal.

Marked: 3 Points. You have been touched by something horrible, and it still affects you. You have some form of impairment brought on by your encounters with an SCP, and it might still linger about you, watching the world from behind your eyes.
