History

A child of a Russian biologist and a English psychologist, Emory spent a majority of her time in her father's basement study, hiding away from the cold Russian air and immersing her mind in the texts and reports of her parents. A quiet child, she attended a Catholic private school and said and did little of note outside the field of academia. Graduating at the top of her class, she stood in the winter air in her graduation gown and delivered a short speech on the nature of men, her peers noting it as the first time they had heard her speak in months. There was applause, and Emory accepted her dipolma with a stoic look on her face.

In college, Emory was set apart by her excellent grades, attendence, and writing. A "tendency to kick" those she perceived as clowns gave her a reputation on campus as an ice queen, which was not entirely untrue. Garnering the nickname of 'Permafrost', she wrote her psych major thesis on the spread of ideas, memes, and thoughts - a paper that gained the attention of the Foundation. She was eventually employed as a researcher at Site 23, and set about there for a few years. After resolving an issue with Grade B amnesiac resistence in D-Class subjects almost singlehandedly and several combat missions, she was promoted to Director of Research for a short time before requesting a granted transfer to Area 14. Her work attracted the attention of Dr. Delano Smascher, and to this day she works as his aide at the Area.

What does your character fear? Few things - horrors call up disgust rather than fear. Completely human atrocities raise a deep existential fear in her, but she would never admit it to anyone.

What are your character's goals? Eradication of a number of Keter SCPs, namely 939 and 940. She has also expressed an interest in researching a number of ways to destroy the SCPs identified as being of interest to the Church of the Broken God.

If your character could be an animal, which one would it be? Komodo dragon

What is your character's dearest wish? Complete understanding of how humanity perceives and deals with each other and psychologically damaging threats.

Why is your character here? Emory's specialization was requested by Site 23 in one of the every-so-often explorations of the Tamlin Houses - after an encounter with a Agent with more brawn than sanity and a particularly damaging part of the house, she had a Door closed behind her and became amongst those trapped.

If your character had a tattoo, or another one, what would it be? A long line of flowering vines stretching from the ankle to the breast.

If your character could have any superpower, what would it be? Endurance/strength.

What is your character's greatest weakness? Unwillingness to compromise.

What is your character's greatest strength? Unwavering in duty, whatever that may be at the time.
