Description:

Tansy is of average height, standing 5'4. She has dirty blond hair in a neat bob and light blue eyes. She has a fondness for wearing sunhats. Her skin has a slight green tinge that gets stronger when she's under direct sunlight, and it's covered in brown freckle-like spots that, on a closer examination, are dry and a little hard.

Background:

Tansy hails from a world where Mad Genius is a recognized mental disorder, although currently untreatable. It typically manifests in the late teens or early twenties in response to extreme stress in those genetically predisposed for it, and grants brilliance in exchange for delusions, compulsions, irrational behavior, mild motor tics, and the occasional hallucination.

Tansy herself suffers from Mad Genius disorder, triggered during an argument when she was a first year in university. She comes from a wealthy upper-class british family, and the incident was covered up, with Tansy completing her higher education and obtaining a doctorate through American schools. Over the years, she learned to hide her delusions and pretend to be normal in social situations, although her thought patterns are still as skewed as ever and enough frustration will cause her to blow her cover. She is also not very good at keeping her facade up for long periods of time on end.

Tansy's symptoms are roughly this: A compulsion to research or experiment frequently, the delusion that she is somehow more important than other people and somehow less prone to make mistakes, fingers progressively getting twitchier when her compulsion isn't able to be acted out, and a constant slew of brilliant ideas of varying practicality and possibility bouncing around in her head. She's able to produce results that shouldn't actually be possible with current technology levels, but is very bad at starting a mundane project and keeping it mundane. She either goes beyond the impossible deliberately, or gradually skews towards it as time progresses.

Recently, Tansy has figured out how to allow humans to photosynthesize without any (apparent) major symptoms, and has applied the mutation to herself. However, she shortly after contracted a mosiac virus, giving her skin its speckled appearance. She was about to attempt a cure before ending up in the house.

Tansy ended up in the House after opening the door to her Greenhouse/Laboratory, only to find a mysterious forest on the other side. Not one to question such impossible things, she decided to explore, foolishly letting the door close behind her.
