Description:

5'10, 25 years old, Latino descent, black hair, synthetic fiber clothes that don't really match anything you'd find in the modern day. Vaguely luminescent glowing lines all over his body1. In place of eyes, looks like someone welded opaque black welder's goggles to his face2. Lower left leg looks like someone shoved a box in under his skin3. Left wrist is reminiscent of a large cluster of switches, dials, keypads, and knobs clustered together and intermingled with electronic components4. Either side of Roger's throat is an eight-centimeter diameter metal disk equipped with a black flexible, durable membrane.5 His voice can be heard coming out of these, in stereo.6

Background:

Roger was born aboard an exploration vessel in the Triangulum galaxy 31 years ago to two crew members. Generally adopted by the crew as a whole, he proved a quick learner and picked up various skills along the way. When he came of age, he hitched the first ride he could back to the more inhabited worlds, taking odd jobs in various places along the way. Apt with technology and having taught himself the arts of mischief, he found work variously as a computer guy, technician, nurse (in places that didn't ask many questions), and low-level hit man. He was always on the move.

One day, he fell for a girl on a backwater planet and stayed. He volunteered to be a lab rat for several of her experimental augmentations; while they generally proved to be of good quality, neural interfaces were not her specialty, resulting in glitches in some cases and requiring manual controls elsewhere.

Eventually, when his urge to explore the known universe became too great to remain planetbound, he said his farewells and bought a ship of his own to return once more to doing what he does best — whatever people will pay him for.

One day, he accidentally flew his ship through a hyperspace terminal at the wrong moment and crash-landed in the Tamlin House. He couldn't salvage much of use, as homicidal sex dolls proved to be an ample distraction.
