American lumberjack. Was on a logging foray in Canada. In the 1920s. About twenty five years old. Heavy, sudden snowstorm separated him from his crew. Got really lost, after seeking shelter in what he thought was just a very convenient, if odd log cabin with a brass doorknob. He's not sure how long he's been in the house, because its felt much longer then it possibly could be.
